Administration building on Khortytsia Island caught fire after Russian missile attack on Zaporizhzhya

Russian troops bombarded the city of Zaporizhzhya with S-300 missiles in the early hours of Feb. 27, the Zaporizhzhya Oblast Military Administration (OVA) reported on Telegram on Feb. 27.

There were no casualties as a result of the attack, but an infrastructure facility was damaged, city authorities said. According to the Secretary of the Zaporizhzhya City Council, Anatoliy Kurtev, two strikes hit an infrastructure facility, though another launched Russian shell missed its target and likely hit he water.

Presidential chief-of-staff Andriy Yermak added that the attack also struck an ad-ministration building on Khortytsia Island, causing a fire.

Russia launched a drone attack against Ukraine overnight on Feb. 26, utilizing 14 Iranian-made Shahed suicide drones. As a result of the attack, one person was killed and four others were injured in the Ukrainian city of Khmelnytskyi. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, 14 drones were launched, of which 11 were intercepted.
