A package seeping blood arrived at the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece on the morning of Dec. 12, Oleh Nikolenko, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported on Facebook on Dec. 12.
“The sender’s address is the same as on the other envelopes that previously arrived at Ukrainian embassies and consulates: The Tesla car dealership in the German town of Sindelfingen,” he said.
The Greek police have started an investigation. They also expect cooperation with the German law enforcement officers, Nikolenko added.
In total there are already 33 cases of threats in 17 countries:
- One attempted terrorist attack;
- Two notifications about mining;
- One case of vandalism;
- One case of a written threat;
- 28 bloody packages.
“As Dmytro Kuleba said, no matter how hard the enemies try to intimidate Ukrainian diplomacy, they will not succeed. We’re working for victory,” Nikolenko said.
An explosion took place at the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid on Nov. 30, leaving one person injured. Ukrainian Ambassador to Spain Serhiy Pohoreltsev reported that a parcel addressed to him had exploded when being examined by another member of staff.
After that, a number of Ukrainian embassies and consulates around the world received blood-stained parcels with animal eyes. The ambassador’s house in the Vatican was broken into by unknown persons and the building was smeared with feces, and the embassy in Kazakhstan received a hoax bomb threat.
