Russian troops have resorted to carrying out drone attacks in the border areas of Ukraine’s northern Sumy Oblast, head of Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi said in a Telegram post on June 9.

"The Russians are dropping bombs on our border communities, using drones," he said.

"At 10 a.m. today, the enemy launched three kamikaze drones with bombs."

Zhyvytskyi added that at 4 p.m., the Russians dropped a fragmentation grenade from a quadcopter.

"Both incidents took place on the territory of the Krasnopillia territorial community," the governor said.
