The Canadian Armed Forces have published photos of preparations to transport their German-made Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine.

“On April 11, 2023, Leopard 2 tanks were loaded and transported to southwest Poland from a Royal Canadian Air Force CC-177 Globemaster III as part the Operation UNIFIER (program),” the report says.

“Canada has now delivered eight tanks as part of military aid to Ukraine.”

Nine countries will transfer more than 150 Leopard tanks to Ukraine as part of a ‘tank coalition’, said U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on March 15. He added that the coalition continues to grow.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs between 300-500 tanks to launch a counteroffensive.
