Two civilians were killed and another 15 wounded in the past day after invading Russian forces attacked Kharkiv city and oblast with rockets and artillery, Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov said on Telegram on June 10.
According to Syniehubov, the city's Shevchenkivskyi district, as well as Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izyum and Bohodukhiv districts of the oblast came under fire, causing damage to houses, warehouses, and infrastructure facilities.
In addition, coniferous forests and forest belts were on fire after the shelling.
In total, one civilian was killed and another six were hospitalized in the village of Pechenihy, two were wounded in the village of Mala Danylivka, one was killed and five hospitalized in the village of Zolochiv, one was hospitalized in the village of Vyshneve, and a 12-year-old boy was hospitalized in the village of Hrushuvakha.
The governor added that the Russian invaders had not advanced on the contact line, as they were focused on defense in the Kharkiv area. At the same time, the invaders are replenishing supplies and regrouping forces in the Izyum area.
The Ukrainian military continues to inflict significant losses on the Russian troops in manpower and equipment, Syniehubov said.
