Two civilians were killed and another five were wounded after invading Russian forces entered the northeastern and southeastern outskirts of the town of Severodonetsk, Luhansk Governor Serhiy Hayday said in a Telegram messenger post on May 30.

According to the governor, the civilians were cooking in their yard when shelling suddenly began.

"There is heavy fighting for Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, he said.

"The enemy has involved all possible weapons, and is using aircraft. However, our military is holding the line firmly to prevent the enemy from entering deep into the country."
