An accomplice of the Russian occupation “authorities”, Dmytro Trukhin, sustained severe injuries in an explosion in Russian-occupied Melitopol on the morning of Nov. 15, the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov reported on Telegram.

Fedorov said Trukhin has been hospitalized in a critical condition.

Trukhin was a supporter of collaborators Yevhen Balytskyi, the so-called “head” of the occupation military-civilian administration in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, and Halyna Danylchenko the Russian-appointed "mayor" of Melitopol, Fedorov said.

Trukhin was a Melitopol City Council member of three convocations, in particular from the Communist Party and the pro-Russian Opposition Platform. He also took part in illegal sessions of the City Council.

He was the director of the public utility company Komunalna Vlasnist (‘Communal Property’).

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022, he became a close associate of members of the Russian occupying “administration.” He returned to the Communal Property utility company and was engaged in the illegal distribution of land and property. In particular, he helped to raise money to finance a sham referendum in the oblast.
