Daily rate of COVID-19 infections still high, with over 35,000 reported cases

Over the past day, 34,938 Ukrainians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a total of 282 deaths were recorded, and 29,254 patients recovered from the disease, according to official data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as of the morning of Feb. 18.

The daily rate of COVID-19 infections in Ukraine remains very high. A day earlier, on Feb. 17, 33,330 Ukrainians were reported to have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Over the entire duration of the pandemic, a total of 4,672,198 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ukraine, of whom 3,896,009 have recovered, and 104,106 have died.

No data is available for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the non-government-controlled parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and Sevastopol.

An adaptive quarantine is in effect in the country until the end of March 2022, dividing Ukraine into colored zones that represent the impact of the coronavirus on the region.

Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytskyi and Luhansk Oblasts are in the red zone, while all other regions are currently in the yellow or orange zones.

Over 30 million coronavirus vaccination doses have been administered, and nearly 15 million people have received two doses, with more than 600,000 people having had a booster dose.
