Death toll from missile strike in Chasiv Yar rises to 35

The number of people killed in a Russian missile attack on the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast on July 9 has increased to 35, the State Emergency Service in the region said on July 12.

"As of 11.00 a.m., the personnel of the Main Directorate found and removed the bodies of 35 people, including one child (a boy of about nine years old) from under the rubble of a five-story residential building destroyed by shelling in Chasiv Yar," the report says.

Nine people have been rescued from under the rubble. More than 300 tons of building debris has been cleared and dismantled.

Rescue teams continue to work at the scene.

Russia launched four Uragan heavy anti-personnel rockets at the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast late on July 9, which resulted in the destruction of two five-story residential buildings.
