Defense chief Reznikov to participate in meeting of NATO defense ministers

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov will take part in a meeting of NATO defense ministers on Feb. 14, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced at abriefing.
"Tomorrow we will be joined by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov," he said.
“(Reznikov is coming) both to participate in the U.S.-led Contact Group on Ukraine, and to meet with NATO ministers.”
Stoltenberg added that the meeting is expected to discuss Ukraine's needs in the fight against Russian aggression.
The NATO secretary general also reiterated that the alliance would support Kyiv as long as necessary. He emphasized the need to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the necessary weapons before Russia seizes the initiative on the battlefield.
On Feb. 14, the ninth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (known as “Ramstein format” meetings, as they were first held at the U.S. Ramstein Air Base in Germany) will take place at NATO headquarters.
The main topics of discussion will be Ukrainian air defenses, the formation of a tank coalition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, ammunition stockpiles, and training programs for Ukrainian soldiers.
On Feb. 14-15, the North Atlantic Council is scheduled to meet at the level of defense ministers in Brussels. It will be chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
