Russian agents examine and analyze information from social media and intelligence data before launching missile strikes on Ukrainian territory, the Defense Ministry said on Telegram on Dec. 19.

The ministry warns the Russian Federation uses air and ground intelligence, examines social media accounts of Ukrainian users, and various public groups.

The ministry has urged not to share:

  • photos and videos of Ukrainian air defense missile launches;
  • photos and videos of deployed Ukrainian air defense equipment;
  • information about which Ukrainian weapons can be located where and which objects should be protected;
  • how many units of equipment were seen or rocket launches were heard.

According to the ministry, the Russian Federation uses the respective information for:

  • intelligence;
  • laying out routes for the use of rockets to bypass anti-aircraft defense;
  • adjusting and assigning strikes to the air defense means themselves.

Earlier, Ukrainian intelligence stated that no one knows when the next missile attack from the Russian Federation will take place, as the aggressor country is guided by its own logic.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that the Russian occupiers can launch a new massive missile strike at any time.
