More than 200 residents of the Russian-occupied areas of Donetsk Oblast, mobilized for war with Ukraine, have demanded that they be returned home, Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazansky reported on Facebook on May 25, posting a video address by the proxy forces.
The soldiers complain that at first they were sent to storm the port city of Mariupol, and now the leadership of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" ("DPR") wants to send them to death in Luhansk Oblast.
"We refuse to go to the slaughter in the 'LPR' ('Luhansk People's Republic'), a completely different republic," one of the organizers of the protest claimed.
There are more and more signs of disunity in enemy ranks: Earlier, another unit of proxy forces recorded a video message to the so-called leader of the "DPR" sham statelet, Denis Pushilin, in which they stated that they had already lost 40% of their personnel.
They demanded that they be withdrawn from the warzone.
