Dozens of multi-storey buildings and houses damaged, shells hit hospital in Nikopol

Russia attacked the city of Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with Grad multiple launch rocket systems and heavy artillery overnight on Oct. 13, Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Valentyn Reznichenko has written on his official Telegram channel.
“Nikopol (district) suffered the most,” Reznichenko wrote.
“The invaders wounded a 59-year-old man. He is in hospital in serious condition. Over 30 multi-storey and detached houses, gas and power lines were damaged in the city. More than 2,000 families have been left without electricity.”
Reznichenko said Russian shells hit hospital, kindergarten, a local history museum, a church, market stores, a factory and a post office.
There were no casualties in an attack on the oblast’s Marhanetska District. The scale of destruction there is still unknown, however.
There were an air raid alerts in other oblasts in the region, but no enemy attacks.
The head of Nikopol military district administration, Yevhen Yevtushenko, reported that Russian troops shelled the city of Nikopol with incendiary ammunition in the early hours of Oct. 12.
Later it was reported that over 100 shells had been fired at Nikopol.
