Entire management team of customs service to be dismissed, says presidential faction head

The entire management team of the State Customs Service are to be dismissed, the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, announced on Telegram on Feb. 1.
"I will inform the public about the announced spring firings," he wrote.
According to him, today law enforcers:searched the tax office;
- charged high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Defense;
- searched oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky's Ukrnafta;
- conducted a whole series of covert investigative actions;
- searched former Interior Minister Arsen Avakov's residence;
- searched pro-Russian MP Vadym Stolar's residence;
- dismissed the entire management team of the customs.
"The country will change during the war," Arakhamia said.
“If someone is not ready for change, the state will come and help them change.”
According to MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, the Cabinet of Ministers has already dismissed the acting head of the State Customs Service, Vyacheslav Demchenko, and his deputies, Oleksandr Shchutskyi and Ruslan Cherkasskyi.
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on Telegram that the remaining deputy head of the customs office, Serhiy Zvyahintsev, would be appointed acting head of the agency.
Earlier, the deputy head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, resigned on Jan. 24.
On Jan. 23, NV’s sister outlet Ukrayinska Pravda also reported that reshuffles were possible in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Later, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure Vasyl Lozynskyi was dismissed from the Cabinet after he was detained while receiving a $400,000 bribe.
Oleksiy Symonenko was also dismissed from his post as Deputy Prosecutor General after a scandal involving his vacation in Spain.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced new personnel decisions in his video address on Jan. 23.
