The European Union would be open to introducing economic sanctions against China if Beijing decides to send weapons to Russia, Reuters reported on March 3, citing a senior EU official.
Supplying Moscow with weapons would absolutely be a “red line,” the source said.
Recent media reports suggested the United States is working with its allies to coordinate a response to China potentially helping Russia’s war effort.
Earlier, the CIA said that China is considering supplying weapons to Russia, including ammunition, combat drones, and artillery.
At the same time, Ukrainian Military Intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov said he doesn’t think Beijing would ultimately directly assist Moscow with military aid.
