European Parliament declares Russia state sponsor of terrorism

The European Parliament has recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and called for its international isolation, in a resolution adopted on Nov. 23.
Member of the European Parliament stated that Russia’s military strikes on civilian structures, such as energy infrastructure facilities, hospitals, schools, and shelters, violate international law.
The European Parliament called on the European Council to include in the list of persons, groups and organizations involved in terrorist activities the so-called Wagner Group and the 141st Special Motorized Regiment, also known as followers of Chechen warlord Ramzan Kadyrov, as well as other Russian-funded armed groups, militias and proxies.
