Explosions rocked an airfield in the Russian-occupied town of Berdyansk in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, the head of the city’s military administration, Viktoria Halitsina, told Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne on Dec. 8.
Halitsina stated that three large explosions, and 15 smaller blasts, took place at the airfield..
A large-scale fire broke out as a result, she said.
In turn, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov reported on Telegram messenger that it has been “loud for the second day” near the Berdyansk airfield.
At the same time, Ukrainian blogger Serhiy Sternenko said in a Telegram messenger post that the blasts near the Berdyansk airfield were heard on Dec. 7, rather than Dec. 8.
