Fiercest fighting taking place for Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka, General Staff says

Russian occupation forces are focusing their main efforts on an offensive on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka axes, while Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Maryinka continue to see the fiercest fighting, Ukraine’s General Staff said in its update posted on Facebook on March 28.
Ukrainian defenders repelled 62 attacks in those areas, according to the army command.
On the Volyn, Polissya, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi axes, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of offensive groups forming have been detected. Combat training activities of the Russian Armed Forces continue in Belarus.
Enemy troops fired on the areas of Bleshnya in Chernihiv Oblast; 10 settlements in Sumy Oblast; and Tymofiyivka, Krasne, Ustynivka and Chorne in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Kupyansk and Lyman axes, Russian forces attempted unsuccessful advances in the areas of Kreminna, Bilohorivka, and four other settlements. Artillery was used to shell the areas of Kupyansk and six other settlements in Kharkiv Oblast; Stelmakhivka, Novoselivske, Nevske, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast; and Terny, Siversk, Spirne, and Vyyimka in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Bakhmut axis, invading troops continue to storm Bakhmut, as well as the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Ozarianivka. They also shelled Bakhmut and 10 other settlements in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Avdiyivka and Maryinka axes, Russian forces unsuccessfully tried advancing toward Avdiyivka, Maryinka, and four other settlements. They used non-lethal "tear gas" grenades in the areas of Novokalynove, Lastivchyne, Pervomayske, and Maryinka. The enemy fired at the areas of Avdiyivka, Maryinka, and eight other settlements in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Shakhtarsk axis, the areas of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Vremivka in Donetsk Oblast came under Russian fire.
On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson axes, Russian troops are defending. The settlements of Vilne Pole, Novosilka, and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Huliaypole and five other in Zaporizhzhya Oblast; as well as Kherson, Kozatske, and Antonivka in Kherson Oblast were shelled.
Earlier, the spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevatyi, said that Bakhmut remains the main focus of the aggressor's attacks.
