Former Ukrainian pro-Kremlin MP Oleksii Zhuravko was killed in a reportedly Ukrainian missile strike at a hotel in Kherson, Russian state media reported on Sept. 25.

RT and TASS posted photos of the ruined building, where Zhuravko was staying, allegedly along with a team of RT “journalists,” none of whom were harmed.

Zhuravko represented pro-Russian Party of Regions in the Ukrainian parliament in 2007-2012, before fleeing to Russia in 2015.

Ukraine’s SBU security service charged Zhuravko with conspiring to overthrow the government in December 2020.

In May 2022, Zhuravko arrived to Russia-occupied Kherson, becoming a bona fide collaborationist and helping Moscow to organize the so-called “referendum” in the region, which aims to legitimize the annexation of Ukrainian territory.
