Four Russian military transport planes land in Belarus

Four Russian Il-76 military transport planes have landed at the Machulishchy air base in Belarus, Belarusian Hajun monitoring group reported via the Telegram messenger app on Nov. 11.

According to the report, the planes landed between 03:30 p.m. and 04:00 p.m., on Nov. 11.

The aircraft had the following registration numbers: RA-76767, RA-78789, RF-76731, and RF-76605.

“It’s not yet known what was brought in and whether these planes had any cargo,” the message reads.

Russia is using the territory of Belarus to launch missile and drone strikes against Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government’s Center for Strategic Communications, or Stratcom, reported on Nov. 2 that Russia had deployed three Kinzhal hypersonic missile carriers at the Machulishchy air base.

According to Ukraine’s General Staff, military drone operator units are included in the recently-established joint Russia-Belarus “grouping of forces,” which is deployed in Belarus.
