Russia’s invasion forces are concentrating their efforts on holding their positions and protecting supply routes as they gear up for another offensive on Slovyansk, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on May 31 in a Facebook update.
The enemy fired on civilian infrastructure near the settlements of Dovhenke, Vernopillya, Hrushuvakha and Velyka Komyshuvakha, the General Staff said.
The invaders made an attempt at an assault near Dovhenke, but they were not successful and retreated to previously occupied positions.
On the Slobozhanskyi axis, the invaders continue to prepare for an offensive, are assessing possible ways to advance, and secure the supply of weapons and military equipment from the territory of the Russian Federation.
On the Kharkiv axis, the occupying army is not carrying out active operations. Instead, Russian troops fired at civilian infrastructure near the settlements of Terny, Lozova, Protopopivka, Rudneve, Sokolivka and others.
