Germany is preparing a military aid package for Ukraine, which will include 18 RCH-155 self-propelled artillery systems, the German government said in a message on its website on Dec. 7.
The message specified the security assistance package as follows:
● 18 ACS RCH-155 artillery units;
● 80 pick-up trucks;
● 90 anti-drone sensors and jammers;
● two hangar tents;
● seven 8×6 trucks with interchangeable loading systems.
Earlier this week, the Bundeswehr handed over 20 Dingo wheeled armored vehicles and two M1070 Oshkosh tank tractors to Kyiv.
In September, it was reported that Germany approved the sale to Ukraine of 18 of the latest RCH-155 self-propelled guns, on Kyiv’s request.
The RCH-155 is a wheeled self-propelled artillery platform with an L52 155mm cannon, boasting an operational range of up to 54 kilometers when using V-LAP precision projectiles. The howitzer can accelerate up to 100 km/h and travel up to 700 kilometers between refueling.
