Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos are in Kyiv for talks with their Ukrainian counterparts on Nov. 3, the Greek news website eKathimerini has reported.

The visit was not announced in advance for security reasons.

Talks with the Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov are on the visit agenda.

Sakellaropoulou will have a private meeting with Zelenskyy and then the two presidents will later be joined by their respective delegations.

The visit was originally scheduled for mid-October but was postponed as Russia started a campaign of missile attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba reported the first tanks were supplied to Ukraine by Greece in the middle of October.
