A pro-Kremlin collaborator in Mykolaiv Oblast has been sentenced for his involvement as an agent of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, better known as the GRU, Ukraine’s SBU security service reported on April 8
The statement says that during the investigation irrefutable evidence was gathered proving that the collaborator was responsible for guiding missile strikes by Russia against civilian infrastructure in the oblast.
“The guidance provided by the informant led to missile strikes on two local schools by Russian invasion forces. As a result, both buildings were completely destroyed,” the SBU said.
The enemy informant was detained during counter-sabotage operations in the front-line areas of the oblast in August 2022.

Criminal proceedings were initiated against the offender for violating Article 114-2, Part 3 (unauthorized dissemination of information on the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, the movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or other formations), as well as Article 436-2, Parts 2 and 3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The court sentenced him to eight years in prison.
