The Ukrainian military is conducting “hard and powerful work" in Kherson, so it’s maintaining operational silence about successes in this direction, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Operational Command South, Natalia Humeniuk, said on national television on Nov. 11.
According to her, the Ukrainian flags that have appeared in the city demonstrate that "Kherson is Ukraine”.
"It means, Kherson residents have demonstrated the patience we asked them for during this military operation,” she explained.
“We thanked them for their signals that not only we can have such a good day, but also we can have a good night's sleep.”
Earlier, Russia's Defense Ministry said it had completed the withdrawal of its forces from the city of Kherson.
As of now, a number of southern settlements have been liberated, including Snihurivka, Bruskinske, Borozenske and Kyselivka - located just 15 km away from Kherson.
The liberation of southern Ukraine continues.
