Health minister reports on condition of injured in Russian rocket attack on Kherson

The civilians caught up in the Russian shelling attack on the city of Kherson early on Dec. 24 suffered a horrific catalog of injuries, from eye injuries to the loss of lower limbs, Health Minister Viktor Liashko reported in a post on Facebook.

Civilians admitted to hospital in the wake of the Russian attack on the city also sustained penetrating wounds to the abdomen, and head injuries of varying degrees, — Liashko said.

Earlier, Liashko traveled to Kherson to check the condition of the city’s hospitals to provide medical aid to all persons injured in the numerous recent Russian attacks on the city. He reported the results on his Facebook page on Dec. 24.

"All Russian terror attacks boil down to threatening, damaging infrastructure, killing and wounding people," the minister said. He also thanked Kherson's medical personnel for their work.

The number of dead in the Russian attack of the Kheson's center on Dec. 24 has grown to eight. The president's office reported 58 injured persons, 18 of whom are in serious condition.

The invaders shelled the city of Kherson with Grad multiple rocket launchers on Dec. 24 at 11:00 a.m. Six cars were set on fire in the attack. It took 40 minutes for rescuers to put out the fires.
