High-ranking US diplomat to join online forum in Kyiv on Western foreign policy
The United States Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman will participate in an online foreign policy discussion organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yalta European Strategy at 15:30 Kyiv time on Jan. 21.
Former Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, who now serves on the board of YES, will host the forum.
NV will broadcast the event online.
The agenda includes discussions of Russian relations with the United States and NATO, as well as U.S. policy on Ukraine amidst the ongoing crisis of escalating tensions on the Ukraine-Russia border.
The event is a part of a long series of online discussions that cover global foreign policy and Ukraine’s role in it. Among the guests YES invited to speak on this subject in the past are: former United States Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun, U.S. political commentator Fareed Zakaria, former Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, former British PM Tony Blair, and U.S. journalist Anne Applebaum
