The humanitarian situation in Kherson, which has been under Russian occupation for more than eight months, remains difficult, Kherson regional council member Serhiy Khlan, said at a briefing on Nov. 11, amid reports of the liberation of the provincial capital.
“The situation with bread is difficult, the situation with fuel is difficult,” he said.
“There has been no electricity for almost a week now.”
This situation in Kherson was artificially brought to a critical point by the Russian occupiers, Khlan added.
At the moment, there is almost no mobile connectivity in the city.
“Mobile Internet appears here and there” Khlan stated, though he added that the signal remains weak.
Khlan called on the city’s residents to stay in their homes until Kherson is cleaned.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Nov. 11 that they had allegedly completed the withdrawal of its invading forces from Kherson.
Meanwhile, local residents are posting photos of Russian soldiers changing into civilian clothes in an attempt to blend in with the locals, in order to avoid falling into the hands of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
