The Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has hacked several Russian radio stations broadcasting in Ukraine’s Russian-occupied Crimea, local residents reported on social media on Feb. 23.

Having gained access to the airwaves of the Kremlin propagandists, Ukrainian cyberexperts forced the residents of Crimea to listen to the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov.

“Citizens of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov is addressing you,” he said in his address, prepared for the Russian “Day of the Defender of the Fatherland.”

“Ukraine is returning all captured territories,” Budanov went on.

“The Donbas, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the entire south of Ukraine will return home forever. We will find every traitor who betrayed Ukraine, no matter where they are hiding. All of them will be eliminated.

“To all patriots: The time to act has come. Wait for us, we’re coming. Glory to Ukraine.”
