The Board of Governors of the IAEA has adopted a resolution calling on Russia to withdraw its troops from the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and “end all actions” at Ukrainian nuclear facilities, Reuters wrote on Nov. 17.

The document was supported by 24 out of 35 countries, with only Russia and China voting against. Vietnam, India, Kenya, Namibia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and South Africa decided to abstain, and the delegations of Burundi and Libya did not participate in the vote.

According to the text of the resolution, the Board of Governors of the IAEA calls on the Russian Federation to “end all actions” at nuclear facilities in Ukraine. In addition, the Council calls on Russia to “immediately withdraw its military and other personnel from the (Zaporizhzhya) power plant.”
