Russian invasion forces are forcibly displacing parts of the civilian population in Kherson Oblast, and building defensive fortifications around their homes, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said on Nov. 1.
In the settlement of Kakhovka, citizens who live in premises along the banks of the Dnipro are being forcibly evicted from their homes, the General Staff said.
The invaders are setting up defensive fortifications and mine-explosive barriers around civilian housing.
Meanwhile, in the settlement of Novochornomorya, in Skadovsk district, the Russian military is putting psychological and physical pressure on civilians to give up their homes so that they can be used as quarters for invading troops.
Civilians are being expelled from their homes, with the invaders planning to live in the seized houses.
