Invading Russian forced have mined the key Svatove-Kreminna highway in an attempt to slow down the advance of Ukrainian forces in Luhansk Oblast, Governor of Luhansk Oblast Serhiy Hayday wrote on Telegram on Oct. 16.
"Russians mine access roads towards Svatove and Kreminna, some bridges are already blown up by the occupiers,” the governor’s message reads.
“Russia is sending a large number of reserve troops and war machines here.”
Hayday said the occupiers want to use residential houses for accommodation, but they don't stay there for long due to the fear of shelling.
