Explosions have thundered in several Ukrainian cities, including Bakhmut, Kharkiv, Melitopol, local officials and media reported on Sept. 15.
"Around midnight, the Russians destroyed a high-rise building in Bakhmut," the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, wrote on Telegram.
According to him at least four people may be under the rubble. Emergency services are working at the scene of the attack.
In addition, Kyrylenko noted that in the town of Toretsk in Donetsk Oblast, Russian troops targeted a hospital, wounding one person and damaging three departments. In Kharkiv Oblast, Russian invaders continue to shell settlements along the contact line and at the regional center as well. Another Russian missile hit a forest strip in the Kyivskiy District of the city, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synyehubov, reported. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the attack.
As a result of shelling of Volchansk in the north of Kharkiv Oblast, recently liberated from occupation by Russian troops, five houses were damaged. There were no casualties.
Over the past day in Kupyansky district, a 54-year-old man received an injury in a land mine explosion. Synyehubov stressed that it could be very dangerous to return to the liberated territories until they are completely cleared of mines.
Meanwhile, there was a large explosion in the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhya Oblast, RIA Melitopol reported. The publication notes that for the third day in the city, the continuous sound of planes can be heard. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
