Israel will be actively involved in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, said in an interview with Ukrainian news outlet UA.NEWS on Feb. 2.

“Israel is to be actively involved in the post-war rebuilding of Ukraine, the preparation has been already ongoing,” said Brodsky.

“Ukraine needs to be ready to set conditions for attracting Israeli business and investment.”

The diplomat noted that his country has been developing amid decades-long conflicts and constant security risks.

“However, we have managed to stay a democratic state, develop our economy and develop high technologies,” he added.

“Of course, we can't compare the situation in Ukraine with the one in Israel, but we do can use Israeli experience to continue development in spite of external threats.”

Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu said he doesn't mind being a mediator between Ukraine and Russia – if asked to do so by both countries, with U.S. involvement.
