Italy has sent at least 30 M109L self-propelled howitzers to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with some already helping Ukrainian defenders repel Russian aggression on the frontline, Italian La Repubblica reported on April 16.

A long convoy of these howitzers was filmed several days ago at the Udinerailway station in Italy, the outlet wrote.

"Among those already at the front and those seen back in Udine, there are at least thirty tracked howitzers, while some sources speak of even double that number," wrote the paper.

A total of 60 M109L self-propelled guns have been already sent or will be sent to Ukraine, according to La Repubblica's sources.
