Invading Russian forces struck settlements in Kherson Oblast almost 40 times in the past day, causing three civilian deaths, while another four civilians were wounded, the oblast’s military administration reported on Telegram on Feb. 9.
The invaders used artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and mortars for their attacks.
The city of Kherson itself was shelled six times. A children’s rehabilitation center and residential buildings were damaged by the strikes.
According to the administration, three people were killed by Russian shelling in the past day, while another four sustained injuries of varying severity, including a 15-year-old boy. He received a mild concussion and was provided with medical assistance at the scene.
Russian troops have regularly struck Kherson since it was liberated by Ukrainian forces in early November.
The day before, on Feb. 7, two employees of the local water utility were seriously injured as a result of enemy shelling.
