Kindergarten in Stanytsia Luhanska in the Donbas shelled by Russian proxies
Russian proxy forces in the Donbas have shelled the city of Stanytsia Luhanska in the government-controlled part of Luhansk Oblast in the Donbas, damaging a local kindergarten, the Return Alive Foundation reported via Twitter on Feb. 17.
The attack occurred during the morning on Feb. 17, when classes were in session. While there were no fatalities, two teachers are said to have received concussions and there are unconfirmed reports of children having been injured.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported in a tweet that no children were injured.
Ukrainian news agency Interfax-Ukraine confirmed that a kindergarten at 22 Depovska Street in Stanytsia Luhanska, Luhansk Oblast, was hit by enemy fire.
The kindergarten’s staff and the children in its care are currently in a secure location.
Ukrainian forces on the frontline have indicated that they have been targeted by sporadic shelling, though no casualties have been reported as a result as of yet.
