Kyiv administration reveals damage caused by Russian mass missile strike

Debris from Russian missiles shot down over Kyiv during a massive missile attack on Dec. 29 fell in four districts of the Ukrainian capital, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) reported in Telegram on Dec. 29.

According to the report, three private houses and one car were damaged in the Darnytskiy district, causing one home to burst into flame.

In total, three people were injured because of the strikes in the area. All affected have been hospitalized with injuries of varying severity, the administration said.

Meanwhile, in the Holosiivskyy district, missile debris was discovered on the sidewalk and on the territory of a local school. There were no casualties.

Missile debris was also discovered on the sidewalk in Solomyanskiy district.

As for the Pechersk district, missile debris was discovered in a playground, and one car was damaged. There were no casualties in Pechersk, either.

The KMVA noted that Kyiv’s air defense forces shot down all 16 of 16 enemy missiles.

A large-scale air raid alert was announced throughout Ukraine on the morning of Dec. 29. It lasted almost five hours. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept 54 out of 69 missiles shot that day.
