Kyiv targeted for 13th time in May – all missiles intercepted, with falling debris damaging mall in Obolon

Fragments of an intercepted missile fell on a shopping mall in the capital’s Obolonskyi District during Russia's overnight attack, Kyiv military administration reported on Telegram on May 26.

"The roof of a shopping and entertainment center in Obolonskyi District was damaged due to falling debris, however without fires and crucial destruction," while other debris fell near the mall, administration head Serhiy Popko wrote.

There were no reported victims in the attack. The information is being clarified.

It was the 13th air mass attack on Kyiv during the 26 days of May. This time, Russia launched Kh-101/555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 strategic bombers in the Caspian Sea area.

All aerial targets in Kyiv's airspace were intercepted by Ukrainian air defence forces, according to preliminary reports of the Armed Forces.

Air raid sirens sounded in a number of Ukrainian regions overnight on May 26.

Russia launched cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea area, as attacked with S-300/S-400 missiles from occupied Zaporizhzhzia Oblast.

Additionally, 31 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones were launched, with 25 shot down by the Ukrainian forces.

Explosions were also heard in Dnipro and Kharkiv.
