Latvia
has transferred another Mi-17 military helicopter to Ukraine's Air Force,
Latvian Defense Minister Inara Murniece said in a Twitter post on Aug. 25.
“The National Armed Forces of Latvia have delivered another Mi-17 helicopter to Ukraine,” said Murniece.
“Ukraine is successfully fighting and regaining more and more occupied territories. Latvia will stand with Ukraine side by side until total victory of Ukraine!”
In July 2022, Latvia gifted Ukraine with four Mi-17 and Mi-2 helicopters. Since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, Latvia has been providing both humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine.
For example, on April 21, the Latvian government decided to hand over to Ukraine all available Stinger MANPADS it had, which have proven effective on the battlefield.
