Two more victims of Russian strike against market in Kharkiv Oblast reported

Two women were killed as a result of the Russian missile strike on a market in the town of Shevchenkove in Kharkiv Oblast, the oblast prosecutor's office reported on Jan. 9.

The strike occurred at 9:10 am that same day. Preliminary reports state that the invading forces using S-300 multiple rocket launchers to shell the settlement from Russia’s Belgorod Oblast.

Kharkiv Oblast Governer Oleh Synyehubov reported on Telegram that the victims were 50 and 60 years old.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office reported that three women, as well as a 10-year-old girl received injuries as a result of the attack, while Synyehubov clarified that there are five injured in total.

Ukrainian authorities have begun investigating the attack as a war crime, and pre-meditated murder.

Initial reports stated that one person had been killed, and seven injured as a result of the strike.
