Lithuania sent six trucks with 114 transformers to Ukraine, amid Ukrainian efforts to repair the power grid after a number of Russian missile strikes, Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas announced on Twitter on Nov. 27.

According to him, Lithuania intends to provide 252 transformers in total to assist in restoring Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

Earlier, the Latvian capital of Riga was reported to have purchased power generators and fan heaters for Kyiv.

Ukrainians across the country are coping with diminished energy supplies and often are subject to blackouts, a consequence of grid restoration following mass missile attacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure.
