All Russian logistics and communications in and around the occupied key southern city of Kherson has been ruined by the Ukrainian military, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, stated on Facebook on Nov. 10.

He commented that every enemy's “goodwill gesture” cost a lot of effort for the Ukrainian army, referring to the Russian excuse for their with-drawal from Snake Island.

"As it was in the Kyiv and Kharkiv oblasts and on Snake Island, the possible withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson could only have resulted from our actions," he said.

The Commander-in-Chief noted that in this case the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed all Russian logistics and supplies, as well as the command  and control system of the enemy troops.

"This left no other options for them but to flee," he wrote.

However, It is currently impossible to confirm or deny whether the with-drawal of Russian troops from Kherson, as ordered by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Nov. 9, is authentic.

"We continue to conduct the offensive operation in line with our plan,” the country’s top general added, saying that Ukraine had gained a total of 1,381 square km in the Kherson direction since Oct. 1. In total, the Ukrainian army advanced 35.5 km, liberating 41 settlements over this period of time.

"In the last 24 hours only, Ukrainian forces have advanced seven km in two directions near Kherson in the south, and recaptured 12 new settlements, gaining control over 264 square km ," Zaluzhnyi reported.

Earlier, Kherson regional council member Serhiy Khlan reported that all the bridges in the western part of Kherson Oblast and in Kherson city itself had been destroyed.

Additionally, Russian forces also began to remove Russian flags from administrative buildings across the city.

After heavy fighting, the Russian invaders retreated from their positions in Snihurivka and other villages on the right (western) bank of the Dnipro River, allowing the Ukrainian army a clear approach to Kherson city.

Presidential Mykhaylo Podoliak has warned that Ukraine sees no signs that Russia is leaving Kherson without a fight.
