Russia is seeing more and more cases of desertion and low morale among its units in the occupied territories of Donbas, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a Facebook post on Nov. 16.

According to the Ukrainian military, this is due them taking significant losses from Ukrainian attacks.

One example is the Russian 1st Gorlovka Territorial Battalion, whose complement suffered over 50% killed and wounded following battles near the village of Mayorsk, the General Staff said.

“Enemy command has disbanded the said unit,” the report says.
