Mass rocket attack on Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine damages medical institutions and homes

The southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv became the target of another Russian rocket attack on the morning of July 12, which left four people injured, said the head of the Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration Vitaliy Kim on Telegram.

According to the official, damage to two medical facilities and residential buildings has already been confirmed. 

"As a result of the shelling, four people were wounded; early reports indicate no casualties. Details of the reports are being verified," he added. 

Mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkevych announced in the early hours of July 12 that Russian troops had subjected the city to powerful shelling.

BBC correspondent Sarah Rainsford wrote on Twitter that more than 20 blasts were heard in the city. 

Russian troops also fired six rockets at Mykolaiv on July 11, injuring one person.
