Satellite imagery company Maxar Technologies has published new images of mass grave sites near the recently-liberated town of Izyum in Kharkiv Oblast, the company announced in a Twitter post on Sept. 17.

The post includes satellite photos of the same area taken in March and August respectively. The images show fresh graves in a wooded area near Izyum’s municipal borders.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sept. 16 that at least 400 people were tortured and eventually buried in the recently uncovered mass grave near Izyum, which was under Russian occupation for six months.
