The Russian occupiers are looting Kherson Oblast while allegedly evacuating, the General Staff of Ukraine noted in its report as of Oct. 28.

In particular, the Russians are interested in medical and other equipment belonging to Ukrainian businesses "nationalized" by the Russian invaders.

According to the General Staff, the medical equipment at the hospital in Bilozerka has been taken to the towns of Skadovsk and Genitchevsk, further to the south.

The General Staff also the invaders’ troop units on the west bank of the Dnipro River had been reinforced with about 1,000 mobilized soldiers.

They are being housed in the empty homes of local Ukrainians, the General Staff said.

Early, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that the Ukrainian offensive in the Kherson Oblast was slowing because of rainy weather. He also said all the bridges in the region were under the fire control of Ukrainian forces, so there is no way to escape for the invaders.

Russia is sending mobilized soldiers to the region, and preparing defenses in the streets of the city of Kherson, Chief of Ukraine’s Main Defense Intelligence Department Kyrylo Budanov has said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said rumors that the Russian invaders had fled from the city of Kherson were “an information attack.”
