Military expert and former spokesman for the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff Vladyslav Selezniov told Radio NV when to expect a new Ukrainian counteroffensive and the liberation of Russian-occupied areas.

"Do (Russian dictator Vladimir) Putin's soldiers plan an ambitious offensive when the weather allows? We cannot rule this scenario out. But would the Ukrainian defense forces allow it? I am certain they would not. After all, the Ukrainian army has its own plans in regard to the de-occupation of the areas that are currently under Russian control," Selezniov said.

He predicts a Ukrainian de-occupation campaign will be launched in the next month.

"I believe that we will see large-scale and tumultuous events that will end in the de-occupation of our country's territory," he said.

"What scale should we expect? I hope for the liberation of the entire Ukraine," Selezniov concluded.

Previously, NV asked experts to clarify which weaponry and in which amount Ukraine requires to liberate the areas temporarily occupied by Russia, as how the de-occupation process might look.
