Naval drone delivers ground robot for combat mission on Kinburn Spit for first time

Ukrainian forces combined a naval drone and the Wolly 7.62 ground robot in a single combat operation on the Kinburn Spit in Mykolaiv Oblast for the first time, DevDroid reported on July 14.
Servicemembers from the 123rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade used a naval drone to deliver the ground robot, equipped with a combat module, to the occupied coastline. After being deployed, the platform carried out a combat mission in an area where the presence of Ukrainian troops would have carried an extremely high level of risk.
The Wolly 7.62 is a remotely operated combat module used for firing and battlefield surveillance, which can be mounted either on stationary positions or on mobile robotic platforms.
DevDroid said such systems help carry out combat missions while reducing risk to personnel.
"This case could change the very logic of how combat missions are carried out: equipment is now capable of delivering other equipment into enemy-controlled territory and completing tasks there without troops being directly present," said Yuriy Poritskiy, DevDroid's CEO. “This expands where ground robots can be deployed and opens up new scenarios for conducting operations in the most dangerous zones.”
