Fragments of a Russian missile intercepted above Kyiv fell on the area of Pyrohovo Open-Air Museum in Kyiv, Ukraine's Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr Tkachenko, reported on Telegram on Jan. 14.

Police, military and ambulances arrived at the spot.

The minister posted pictures of the fallen missile fragments.

The Pyrohovo Open-Air Museum is located in the south of Kyiv, not far from the city ring road. It features traditional buildings, including huts, windmills and a stave church, from all across the country, in a peaceful rural setting of woods and fields.

Russia attacked the capital of Ukraine in the morning of Jan. 14. According to the preliminary reports, a critical infrastructure facility was hit but no significant damage was caused.

Explosions were heard in one of Kyiv's districts, while missile fragments fell in another one and caused the fire at a utility facility. Two cars were also damaged by falling debris.

It was already the second time blasts had been heard in Kyiv on the morning of Jan. 14. The first time was at around 6.30 a.m. Later, Kyiv Oblast Governor Oleksii Kuleba said that the explosions had been caused by a fire at a critical infrastructure facility.

The presidential office later reported that there had been Russian missile strike on a residential neighbourhood in the village of Kopyliv in Bucha District in Kyiv Oblast.

Eighteen private houses were damaged. There are no obvious military targets in the village.
